Lisa Stockwell has freelanced for the past two decades, providing writing and communications services to clients that include Genetech, Children’s Hospital (Oakland), Pacific Telesis (now AT&T), U.S. Sprint, and Wells Fargo. She is author of nine books with Sunset Books and founder of a successful magazine that ran in the black from the day they opened their doors. Esther "On my day off, I spend my spare time in bookstores sleuthing the latest trends in publishing and second-guessing the New York book executives. For me the real excitement is in finding the most important or innovative aspect of an author’s message. I strongly believe that everyone has a book in them."
Esther’s skills in book development and authorship reflect 15 years of experience as a bookstore manager at Fields (an antiquarian bookseller), the Palace of Fine Arts Museum Bookstore, and Crown Books on Nob Hill. She holds a BA in European History with a year abroad in Italy and a second bachelor's degree in Theater Arts, and is a published poet.
